Confidence Totem

My confidence totem is "confidently me". I am not a super model and I am not a rocket scientist but I am beautiful and I am smart and I do possess the ability to learn. I am what I read, what I devour with my mind as much as I am what I eat, what I put in my body. I'm a lover. I love many people and many animals. I'm a fighter against injustice. I am curvy and I love it. I devour food and do not fear being me. I will never be a skinny minnie. To me, being me means being strong and doing things I love to do. Some of which push me to my physical capability and beyond and some of which push me to the brink of mental ability. I am confidently me. A woman who shows no shame in enjoying simple pleasures. A walk with my dogs, a call from a girlfriend, coffee with a colleague, the warm embrace of my lover. Connections that go beyond the surface. The people who see me as me, as me now, confident and radiant in my own skin. And don't compare me to a former me or a past potential me. They feed the fire that keeps me confidently me.

**A confidence totem is one part journal, one part art, one part mantra. The confidence totem will be decorated with affirming words, phrases pictures, drawings, paintings, photographs, etc. Each girl will write her own confidence mantra - words that she can use to raise herself up when she needs a confidence boost. Words she can use to build up the confidence in another girl.
